Manager Skills Webinar - Strategic Thinking
A live virtual webinar designed for managers, focused on building strategic thinking as a core leadership competency. This project was developed as part of an organizational learning initiative targeting mid-level managers across a large, distributed workforce.
My Role: Instructional Designer (sole designer)
What I Did: I led the full design of this instructor-facilitated webinar from needs analysis through final delivery-ready assets. Responsibilities included structuring a logical content flow using ADDIE, writing all facilitator-facing content and participant-facing slides, and designing interactive engagement touchpoints. These touchpoints include a chat blast warm-up, a real-time poll, and a case study scenario with debrief, to keep remote learners actively involved throughout the session.
The visual design follows a cohesive purple and dark navy brand palette with intentional use of imagery to reinforce each concept. Slide layouts were designed to balance facilitator credibility with learner engagement, avoiding the common pitfall of text-heavy webinar decks.
Tools Used: Microsoft PowerPoint
Key Design Decisions: Participant interaction was built into every major section rather than reserved for the end, reflecting research on attention span and engagement in virtual learning environments. The Jordan scenario was designed to surface real-world application without requiring personal disclosure, making it psychologically safe for all participants.
Business Acumen for Client Service Leaders
A self-paced eLearning course designed for newly appointed Client Service Leaders (CSLs), focused on project profitability, pricing strategies, cash flow management, risk, and business development. This course was developed as part of a leadership development curriculum to help CSLs make informed business decisions that drive project and firm performance. Due to the confidential nature of the content, several slides and activities have been omitted from this portfolio sample, and organizational branding and color schemes have been removed or modified.
My Role: Instructional Designer & eLearning Developer (sole designer)
What I Did: I led the end-to-end design and development of this course, from content analysis and learning architecture through final Storyline production. Working from SME presentations and business process documentation, I transformed complex financial concepts into an engaging learning experience for employees new to the CSL role.
The course includes software simulations, scenario-based activities, knowledge checks, click-to-reveal interactions, and animated visual explanations designed to make technical topics approachable and practical.
Tools Used: Articulate Storyline, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, Microsoft Copilot
Key Design Decisions: Because many learners were new to financial concepts, I focused on guided application rather than content presentation. Complex pricing calculations, cash flow concepts, and profitability metrics were broken into step-by-step interactions and simulations that allowed learners to practice using real-world tools and decision-making processes. Progressive disclosure and visual storytelling were used throughout to reduce cognitive load and keep learners engaged.
